Funky B rhythm section play Footloose

This week Mark, Huw and Chris have been performing in the band for BTG Youth's production of Footloose.  The three had fun time, and look forward to working with the talented company again.

Buddha bass player Chris meets a music legend

Last week Funky Buddha's bass player Chris had the honour of sharing the stage with bass legend Herbie Flowers.

Chris was playing in the house band for 'We Could Be Bowie' at the Brighton Ballroom.  The gig was a tribute to the music of David Bowie.  Some fantastic local artists took to the stage to perform their interpretations of some Bowie classics. 

Herbie Flowers (who played bass on 'Space Oddity' and 'Diamond Dogs') was invited to play some songs and share some of his experiences of recording and touring with David Bowie.

Herbie played 'Rebel Rebel', 'Space Oddity', 'Heroes' and the Lou Reed, Bowie produced song 'Walk On The Wild Side' (which features two bass parts).

The show will hopefully but put on again next year as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival.

Bride steals the show!!!............

We had a great time on Saturday playing at Craig and Fiona's wedding in Hampshire and were blown away when Fiona got up to sing a rendition of Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind. 

Great job Fiona!!
